General Meetings

COVID PANDEMIC UPDATE - since May 2020 and until further notice, General Meetings are being conducted virtually, leveraging the ZOOM application.

Members are provided with participation instructions via email multiple times prior to each event.  The public is invited to participate for a nominal online registration fee.

We look forward to a return to the below, but it may be awhile. In anticipation that some of our members may be hesitant to attend in-person gatherings after the pandemic subsides, we plan to run all 2022 meeting virtually, even those that may also be simultaneously held in-person at the McConaghy Centre. Specifics will be communicated through our Events Calendar.

General meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the McConaghy Centre, 10100 Yonge Street in Richmond Hill.

Light refreshments are offered at 7:30 pm and socialization is encouraged Outstanding speakers are a big draw at our General Meetings

until 8:00 pm,  when the business portion of our meetings commence.

Attendance at general meetings is free to members and $5 to non-members.

In addition to obtaining updates on our society's many activities, most meetings include a presentation by a knowledgeable guest speaker. As well, flower show competitions are held at general meetings from May through October. There is also opportunity to socialize with other local gardeners, enjoy refreshments, and browse treasures at the Bring-and-Buy table.

The McConaghy Centre parking lot is accessible from both Yonge Street and Arnold Crescent.
