The 2017 OHA convention, sponsored by our neighbors in District 5, will take place from July 21 to 23 at the Sheraton Parkway North, on Highway 7 in Richmond Hill. The theme, Green from ShorePaul Zammit to Shore, represents an environmental focus.

Our society is very pleased to be sponsoring the Saturday evening Banquet speaker, Paul Zammit. Paul is the Toronto Botanical Garden's Nancy Eaton Director of Horticulture, as well as an energizing speaker, photographer, stylist, garden writer, and winner of many awards. An environmental gardener, his home garden has been featured in garden magazines and newspapers. Paul says he is planning a special presentation for this year's convention.

We are also pleased that the gardens of two of our society's members will be featured on the tour of private gardens organized by The Greater Toronto Water Garden & Horticultural Society, on Friday and Saturday.

As well, due to the proximity of this year's convention, our Board of Directors is encouraging the attendance of our members at the many convention events, as well as participation in competitions, such as Art, Floral Design, Creative Writing and Photography,

More information about the convention is available at the OHA website (click here).

In addition to convention information, the OHA maintains an informative and educational website at
