Topic: How to Enter a Flower Show and What Judges Look For

Celia’s presentation will cover the qualifications of horticultural and design judges, the three divisions of a flower show, what judges look for, and how to prepare for a show. Photos of design and horticultural entries will be leveraged to explain compliance with schedule requirements, and help flower show enthusiasts realize the differences between ‘honorable mention’ and ‘first place’ ribbons.
Celia Roberts is a highly accredited Floral Design and Horticultural Judge who teaches at the Toronto Botanical Gardens, the Garden Club of Toronto, and across Ontario to the Ontario Horticultural Association Judging Schools and Judging Update workshops. Celia has won many prestigious flower show awards and has provided her sought-after judging services as far away as Ireland and Barbados. She is also the current co-chair for Canada Blooms.
