Gardening may be a life-long passion, but as our bodies age it may not always be the pleasure it once was. In this talk we will explore ways to continue to derive pleasure from gardening activities, with some tips and tricks to make it easier on our bodies.
Ingrid Janssen is a horticulturist, speaker, blogger and master gardener. An inspirational speaker, Ingrid has been a guest on Rogers TV Durham and a repeat speaker at Canada Blooms. She has both ornamental and food production gardens on her country property and has been a dedicated native plant enthusiast for more than 30 years. Ingrid received her Horticulturist Diploma from the University of Guelph and is an active member of several horticultural and plant societies. She volunteers on many garden projects in her community, the most notable of which is the restoration of the perennial borders at the Parkwood National Historic Site in Oshawa.
All general meetings begin with a welcome and general announcements, which precede introduction of the guest speaker.

Visitors: Guests are welcome to participate in this virtual and in-person event at a nominal fee of $5.00 Instructions for participation will be emailed to non-society members who complete the registration process prior to the event start time - click on the "Register" button to begin.
